There are two supermarkets nearby open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week,
walk there in 15 minutes. Purchases can be ordered and delivered.

THE CARMEL MARKET
A large and colorful market for fruits, vegetables, meat and poultry, fish, kitchenware,
clothes. Within 30 minutes walk, or bus no. 4 close to the Marina.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The central bus station and the railway station can be reached by bus from the Marina.

TOURIST INFORMATION
1. The Tourist Information office is at Shalom Aleychem Street.
2. Information pamphlets are available at the lobby of the Carlton Hotel, next to the marina.
3. The ?Jerusalem Post? Friday issue has a section ?what?s in Israel? for the following week.
4. The Egged Tour Company is located near the Carlton Hotel. It operates guided tours around Israel.
5. Get a city bus map from the Marina office. Public transport in Israel is good and inexpensive. It is an interesting and comfortable way to tour the land and meet people.
6. Bus no. 4 on Ben Yehuda Street going south will take you to the central bus station for buses to Jerusalem (bus no. 405) and to Haifa (bus no. 980 every 20 minutes) and to Beersheba (bus no. 380 every 30 minutes).
7. When travelling around Israel make sure you carry your shore card or passport.

SHABBAT AND HOLIDAYS
1. Shabbat (Isarel?s weekend) starts at sundown on Friday and continues until sundown on Saturday. All Shops and public transport close early Frid ay afternoon and remain closed during Saturday. Public transport resunes after sundown.
2. Government offices are closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
3. Holidays are observed in the same manner as Shabbat, consult the office for holiday days during your stay.
4. In case of emergencies contact a police station, They are on duty 24 hours a day. call 100 and wait for the operator.

PARKS
1. Hayarkon Park - is situated approx 1 Km away from the Marina and extands along the Yarkon River for about 8 Km. Special lanes for cycling and jogging, Water taps, cafes, sports center, game facilities for children, and a small zoo.
2. Haatzmauth Park - A small Park close to the Marina, fine views, benches and game facilities for children.
3. Charles Clor Park - Mostly open lawns along the seaside promenade between the Marina and Jaffa Port.
